Our stay at Carlisle House Inn was truly charming and filled with history. The historic residence from the 1700s gave us a unique and museum-like experience, reminiscent of Downton Abbey. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the staff was accommodating to my dietary needs. Our room, although small, was sufficient for my partner, our small dog, and me. The location was great, and we loved being able to park our bikes nearby. With its shabby chic decor, spacious and comfortable rooms, and friendly staff, Carlisle House Inn provided us with a memorable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this hotel for those seeking a historic and charming experience during their visit.

The inn was absolutely stunning, with a fascinating history that blew my mind. Sam, the staff member, was incredible, taking care of our food allergies and crafting a breakfast and afternoon tea experience that was out of this world. The breakfast spread was a delightful mix of fresh fruit, homemade treats, and different daily specials. And let's talk about the afternoon tea - it was an absolute masterpiece with charming touches like choosing your own china cup and tea from a vast selection. The sandwiches and cakes were to die for, and we savored every bite. The location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore all the interesting places nearby by foot. The rooms were lovely, spacious, and comfortable, with a shabby chic decor that we adored. And to top it all off, there were plenty of electrical outlets, which is a rarity in old houses. staying at this historic residence felt like stepping into a museum in the best way possible, and we would give it a jaw-dropping 10/10.

The history of this place is fascinating! It's like stepping into a museum and staying in a piece of the past. The breakfast served by the staff is amazing, with a wide variety of fresh fruit, home baked treats, and different pancakes/eggs and bacon or sausages each day. The afternoon tea experience is also delightful, with a charming array of china cups and a wide selection of teas to choose from. The sandwiches and cakes are top-notch and worth indulging in. Plus, the location is perfect for exploring all the interesting places in the area.
The room I stayed in was on the smaller side, which may not be ideal for those who prefer more space. The bathroom was also quite tiny, though it was still functional.

The value for money at this inn was fantastic. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with a shabby chic style. The location was excellent, allowing us to easily explore all the interesting places in the area. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, ensuring that our stay was truly enjoyable.
The breakfast could be improved by adding more local and seasonal fruits for a touch of flavor and variety. Plastic wrap should be avoided on the breakfast table for a more classy presentation.
